🚀 Getting Started

What is Callem Out Vip?

Callem Out Vip is the ultimate platform for hip-hop artists to compete, showcase their skills, and win real money. Artists challenge each other to rap battles, upload their tracks, and let the community vote on the winner. It’s like stepping into a digital cypher where talent meets competition!

How do I sign up?

Signing up is easy! Click the “Register” button in the top navigation, choose whether you’re an Artist (to battle) or a Fan (to vote and spectate), fill out the form, and you’re in! Artists can start challenging opponents immediately.

What’s the difference between Artist and Fan accounts?

Artists can create battles, challenge other artists, upload tracks, and compete for stakes. Fans can vote on battles, comment, and support their favorite artists. You can always upgrade from Fan to Artist later in your profile settings.

Is there a mobile app?

Not yet! Right now, the platform is fully accessible via web browser on desktop and mobile devices. Our mobile-responsive design ensures you get the full battle experience on any device. A dedicated app is on our roadmap for the future!

⚔️ Battles & Competition

How do I start a battle?

Go to “New Battle” from your profile or navigation menu. Choose your opponent, set the stakes (how much money you want to compete for), select a battle type (audio or video), and place your wager. Once your opponent accepts and both artists upload tracks, the voting begins!

How are stakes handled?

Both artists put up an equal stake amount. The winner takes 88% of the total pot, and the platform keeps 12% as a service fee. Stakes can range from $25 to $5000. All payments are secured via WooCommerce integration with multiple payment options including Cash App, Bitcoin, and gift cards.

What happens if someone doesn’t upload their track?

Artists have 48 hours to upload their track after a battle is accepted. If an artist fails to upload, they automatically forfeit the battle and lose their stake. The opponent wins by default and receives the payout.

Can I challenge anyone?

Yes! You can challenge any artist on the platform. Use the search function to find specific artists or browse the artist directory. Keep in mind that artists can decline challenges, so it’s best to challenge opponents at a similar skill level or with whom you have mutual respect.

How long do battles last?

  • Upload Phase: 48 hours for both artists to submit tracks
  • Voting Phase: 7 days for the community to vote
  • Results: Winner is automatically determined when voting closes
Total battle duration is typically 9 days from start to finish.

🗳️ Voting & Judging

How does voting work?

Both Artists and Fans can vote on battles. Listen to both tracks, then cast your vote for the artist you think delivered the best performance. You can only vote once per battle, and votes are anonymous. The artist with the most votes at the end of the voting period wins!

Can I vote on my own battles?

No. Artists cannot vote on their own battles to ensure fair competition. However, you can definitely share your battle with your fans and community to get more votes!

What if there’s a tie?

In the rare event of a perfect tie, the battle is declared a draw. Both artists receive their original stake back (no winner payout), and the battle goes into the record books as a tie. True hip-hop history!

Is there a judging panel?

Currently, all battles are decided by community voting. We believe the hip-hop community knows best! However, we’re exploring options for premium “expert judge” battles featuring verified industry professionals for artists who want professional critique.

💰 Payments & Payouts

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:

  • Cash App – Instant transfers
  • Bitcoin (BTC) – Crypto payments
  • WooCommerce Smart Coupons – Gift cards and vouchers
  • Credit/Debit cards via WooCommerce
More payment options coming soon!

How do I get paid when I win?

Payouts are automatic once the battle ends and results are finalized. Winnings are sent via your preferred payout method (Cash App, BTC, or WooCommerce credit). Make sure your payout information is correctly set up in your profile settings before entering battles!

How long do payouts take?

  • Cash App: 1-24 hours
  • Bitcoin: 1-3 confirmations (~30 minutes)
  • WooCommerce Credit: Instant
If you experience delays beyond these timeframes, contact support immediately.

What are the fees?

The platform takes a 12% service fee from the total battle pot. For example, if two artists each stake $50 (total pot = $100), the winner receives $88 and we keep $12. This covers hosting, payment processing, platform maintenance, and development of new features.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are only issued if:

  • Your opponent forfeits before uploading their track
  • There’s a technical error that prevents the battle from proceeding
  • The battle is declared void by administrators
All sales are final once both artists have uploaded tracks and voting begins.

🎧 Track Upload & Technical

What file formats are accepted?

Audio: MP3, WAV, FLAC (max 50MB per file)
Video: MP4, MOV, AVI (max 200MB per file)
We recommend MP3 at 320kbps for the best balance of quality and compatibility.

What are the track requirements?

Your battle track must be:

  • Original content – No copyrighted beats without proof of licensing
  • 1-5 minutes long – Keep it concise!
  • Clean recording – No excessive background noise
  • Relevant to the battle – Stay on topic if there’s a specific theme
Tracks that violate these rules may be removed and result in forfeiture.

Can I edit or replace my track after uploading?

No. Once you upload your track, it’s final. This ensures fair competition and prevents artists from changing their submissions after hearing their opponent’s track. Make sure you’re happy with your recording before uploading!

I’m having trouble uploading my track. Help!

Common upload issues:

  • File too large: Compress your file or reduce bitrate
  • Wrong format: Convert to MP3 or WAV
  • Browser issues: Try a different browser (Chrome recommended)
  • Internet problems: Check your connection speed
If problems persist, contact support with your battle ID and file details.

⚖️ Rules & Fair Play

What happens if I violate the rules?

Rule violations can result in:

  • First offense: Warning and potential battle forfeit
  • Second offense: Temporary suspension (7-30 days)
  • Serious/Repeated offenses: Permanent ban
We take fair play seriously. Respect the culture and your opponents!

Can I use ghostwriters or pre-written verses?

All lyrics must be originally written by you for that specific battle. Pre-written verses are technically allowed if you wrote them, but using ghostwriters or someone else’s lyrics is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate disqualification and potential ban.

What content is not allowed?

Absolutely no:

  • Threats of real-world violence
  • Doxxing (revealing personal information)
  • Hate speech based on race, gender, religion, etc.
  • Sexual content involving minors
  • Promotion of illegal activities
Battle rap can be harsh, but keep it about skill and respect the boundaries.

How do I report inappropriate behavior?

Every battle page has a “Report” button. Click it, select the violation type, and provide details. Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours. For urgent safety concerns, email support@hiphopbattlearena.com directly.

👤 Account & Profile

How do I change my username or profile picture?

Go to your Profile Settings from the dropdown menu under your username. You can update your display name, bio, profile picture, and social media links. Note: Your username can only be changed once every 30 days.

Can I have multiple accounts?

No. Each person is allowed one account only. Multiple accounts used for vote manipulation, entering the same battle from different accounts, or other unfair advantages will result in all accounts being permanently banned.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile Settings → Account Management → Delete Account. You’ll need to confirm your password. Note: You cannot delete your account if you have active battles or pending payouts. All data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What’s the Artist Verification badge?

The ✓ Verified badge shows you’re a legitimate artist. To get verified:

  • Complete at least 10 battles
  • Maintain a 4.0+ community rating
  • Link verified social media accounts (Spotify, Instagram, etc.)
  • No rule violations in the past 90 days
Verified artists get priority battle features and increased visibility.
